  On Tap Showcase 2009

What a Great Day!

As you can see from the smiling faces, we had a very happy showcase. I am so proud of how you all created a very smooth, confident, and cheerful show. You are all a class act and I couldn't be more grateful for all your hard work and professional behavior. The room was full of star quality and I hope you could feel all the positive vibes. Thank you for the magnificent flowers. They surely reflect each of your inner and outward beauty. Thank you to all dancers, family, and friends for attending the showcase.

Here is Sarah Hoggatt's synopsis

of the showcase:

Tapping Through time

" It's been an endless Journey,
joining the eternal rhythms,
reeling through time.
Learning from the ones
who have gone before,
jigging with their spirits
under the cherry tree,
bringing into life the
shim shams once they knew.
Today we honor Bojangles
and his Boogying ways,
Pink Panther too as
Wii dance through our days.
We look to our future,
swinging away the blues
for in tap, we find
the good times still roll. "

I'd like to share a thank you note regarding the Showcase with you all. It's such a nice tribute to all your hard work:

" My name is Joe Casta Aneda and I am Danica Andresen's youth pastor @ Bethany Baptist Church. I                 was at your dance performance on Sunday. I just wanted to pass a note to let you know how much I                 appreciated your class's work and your passion for what you do.

I am not a tap or dance enthusiast, but both last year and this I felt the contagious nature of your                 incredible energy and passion for this truly fine art. Your zeal for your work and for your studnets is                 very evident and I walked away with a smile on my face and a few songs in my heart. Thanks for                 making that afternoon performance so enjoyable.

God bless you as you continue to use your gifts to bless others-- Joe"
