at the Studio
To set the scene, Stacey was about to leave for Israel but before she left, she asked several of us dancers if we would be interested in performing at the Elsinore Theatre in several weeks. It would mean a lot of work together on our own while she was gone, including the performance itself, but we were eager for the challenge and we literally jumped into it with both feet.
The six of us who danced "Black Horse and a Cherry Tree" worked ourselves harder on that one dance than we have ever done. We came up with all kinds of exercises to learn it including having each person dance it by themselves, going over parts again and again, and basically dancing our hearts out and then some.
Inevitably, the time came to have some fun so one night at the studio, we did just that. One of the kid's parents and several of us took the photos while we played around with each other and with different shots. The results of that night are what you see below. I hope you enjoy looking at them as much as we did taking them!
