What a proud moment to step back into reality. Saturday night at the Elsinore Theater 6 hot ladies in pink strutted their stuff to the beat of Black Horse and a Cherry Tree. Having just arrived to Salem after 24 hours of plane travel I was pumped full of adrenaline by these great tappers who, after uncountable hours of rehearsal on their own accord, performed a perfect and ORIGINAL piece. I was blown away by their command and re-choreographing of the dance. (Talk about living up to the even title of "Expect the Unexpected".) From the endless circle they opened up to 2 lines, then a smashing finish with a chorus line. I am sooooooooo proud of them all and thank them for all their hard work and attention to every detail. Thanks to Wendy Ulmer for inviting On Tap to this event, learning the dance in 2 weeks (amazing!), and decking the dancers out with the great wigs. Huge thanks to Sheri Leipzig and Sarah Hoggatt for their dedication to every detail training the tappers to dance as one. Those lunch time "bathroom breaks" now have a whole new meaning. (For more info. on that just ask Sheri) Again, my utmost respect and admiration goes out to these dancers.
