1) “Spreadin’ Rhythm Around” Tap Dance show is this Saturday at 2pm in Corvallis at the Majestic Theater on 2nd St. in downtown Corvallis. “On Tap” Dancers will be dancing in the show which starts at 2pm. Come one come all to support and enjoy this great show that Nancy Traina puts on each year. Tickets are $10.00. I have tickets for Dori (2), Hallidae (3), and Emily (2) . Tickets for Talia (3) and Danica (2) will be in will call at the theater.

All dancers participating in this show had rehearsals tonight in Corvallis. (with a stop at Burgerville for sweet treats!) Next rehearsals are Thursday night at 8:15 and Friday at 5:30pm at the Broadway studio.

2) Phagans’ Cosmetology Colleges’ Marathon Event: Wendy Ulmer, an On Tap dancer over the last several years, sent us a request to participate in Phagans’ Cosmetology Colleges’ Marathon Event scheduled for Friday, May 4 (9am-5pm) The event is supporting the National Center for Missing and Exploited Kids. Last year, their company donated more than $25,000 to this cause. They provide 50% of salon services and 100% of all proceeds from the raffle. There will be raffles on site and a PLACE TO DANCE! Wendy will provide a floor to tap dance on. Let’s all get together and tap in some help for missing and exploited kids! I need a chairperson/s for this event to coordinate the dances, dancers, fund raising, carpooling, etc. This event will be advertised on local radio stations. Maybe they will catch some of our helpful rhythms! Please let me know if you are interested in participating in this event.

3) On Tap Showcase 2012 “Shamrock Shuffle” –Sunday May 27- 5:00pm on our Broadway studio stage. This year’s On Tap Showcase will have an Irish theme with rainbows, rhythm, and pots of gold! It’s rapidly approaching and I need your help to make this party scene a big celebration of how lucky we are to tap dance together! We’ll have the traditional root beer floats along with goodies from all On Tap dancers. So it’s time to pull out your favorite Irish recipes (think green!) We’ll be going as green as possible that day using all recyclable supplies. Call time is at 4pm for all dancers. The show starts at 5pm. $5.00 , $20.00 maximum per family (Dancers do not need tickets).

I need ticket sellers, raffle sellers, and set-up and clean-up help. Please let me know what you would like to help with.

4) Happy Tappy April Birthday to Bobbe Priddy, Molly Searcy, Sudha & Shanti Basu, and Marie Melin! May it be the tappiest yet!! (Did I miss mentioning your April birthday? PLEASE let me know! )
